on making peace...
This unravelling of the old and reconstruction of the new can sometimes be a painful process....
Having delighted in the unravelling - so satisfying - the process of creating the new has been a long one.
Two years ago I began the unravelling - of a jumper I knitted for my husband - who betrayed me completely and utterly.
The balls lay gathering dust in the bottom of my knitting basket - pleading for new life - and then the arrival of these wonderful Rowan Books - combined with my new investigation into eco-dying - and voila!
Turmeric dipped DK cable knitted jumper pour moi.
It is now completely mine - and although, to be truthful, memories will never quite be erased of the how and why and where I was when first knitting this wool - I will wear it and make it utterly mine.
The ice caused Church to be cancelled today - so we are enjoying an extra day at home - eating together, and watching the RUGBY.
Come on WALES!!!
Huge smiles and sighs of relief all round ~ WALES beat the IRISH on their own ground by a close and torturous game - winning 21 - 20
Thank you boys!
